    • Can Joomla RTTC templates import an RSS feed and diplay as content ?

Drupal can do this very easily.

I have posted this question many times and have recieved a cold shoulder.

      Any response is appreciated.

    • Templates don't import, components/extensions do? :)

Did you check the J! mothership's extension directory for an extension to import RSS feeds? Two that come to mind are Feed2Post and Feedgator (or feederator, which might be a third one...so many to choose from). :)

I checked out Feed2Post and was quite happy with it...can set a bunch of queries to perform searches on external sites' RSS feeds (for keywords like 'politics' or 'Joomla' or 'whatever'), pull the content in, save it as conent, publish it in your category/section of choice...and supports cron jobs to automate the whole process.

RT has lots of documentation, what are you looking for?

    • Retired, but build and run websites for organisations of school leaders and others - e.g. http://www.icponline.org, http://www.aspa.asn.au, http://www.appa.asn.au

    • Darryl, have you posted any of your requests over at the Joomla website forums? As far I can tell from reading your posts, the issues that you describe are about the workings of Joomla and Joomla extensions, not about the RocketTheme templates. While you might get help from the knowledgeable people around here, you will be able to get your views to the Joomla development team and the people who develop extensions for Joomla only through the Joomla forums, not through these forums.

"What is one suppose to do, switch to Drupal because they actully document the software"

The software that you appear to be talking about is the Joomla software. I have always found that the documentation for the RT templates is very good - plenty for me, anyway, and I am just an old guy who has taught himself to use Joomla and RT templates. :)

If you find a template club with more documentation, I'll buy you a subscription there, sir. More so, if you find a car lot that sells cars and offers driver's ed classes, too, as part of the package deal, let me know and I'll buy my son's car there.
