    getting most from a shared host - which host is best?

    • I am thinking to get a US or UK based shared web host for a phpBB and Joomla! site. Currently doing up some research on which host gave the best deal.......but the technical terms they mentioned are hard to understand...can someone explain on those terms and how would it affect my site. And which are the things we should look out for best running of phpBB and Joomla! 1.5 site? And what condition would affect the number of visitors visiting my site at one time?

      1) simultaneous IMAP connections
      2) simultaneous PHP connections
      3) simultaneous MySQL connections
      4) MySQL max. user connections
      5) MySQL query limit in a shared platform
      6) simultaneous FTP connections
      7) simultaneous HTTP connections
      8) CPU power

      If I missed out any conditions....please advise.

      9) Is the server shared with other customers?
      10) How much bandwidth does the host have?
      11) How good is the peering with other ISP's

      I am looking at shared hosting like Bluehost, InMotion, HostMonster or also considering reseller plan from HostRocket. In such cases...some are giving unlimited bandwidth and almost unlimited space.

      Any good recommendation?
