Hello,
I'm building a site with Media Mogul Essentials. When I use a SEF extension like sh404SEF or Artio images in ie6 appear but have an "image not loaded" appearance over the image. (ie. The image is loaded and I can see it, but the standard red "x" appears over the image also). This doesn't happen in firefox. I'm not sure about ie7. This doesn't happen when I change the template to another rockettheme template or the Rhuk Milkyway one provided. It does happen with the full Media Mogul template as well. I searched through the forums but was surprised not to see any mention of it. There is a mention of relative vs absolute URLs on the sh404 forums but I know this isn't the problem as it works with other templates. How can I solve this issue? I know ie6 is a hunk of crap but it is still a popular browser.
I actually haven't uploaded it yet. I am building it on my computer with WampServer. It is odd. It makes sense that the images don't appear if there is SEF urls switched on because the relative url path is changed but the images actually appear with a red "x" in the top left hand corner.
It's not happening in IE7 - and unfortunately I don't have IE6 installed (I have a bit of a passive-aggressive relationship with IE6, I attempt to support it, but take the point-of-view that it HAS been superceded and have resolved not to lose sleep over compatibility).
Very puzzling. I might lean toward chasing some sort of browser caching 'mismatch' to find a solution - but this doesn't strike a chord in my gut since anything using mod_rewrite does the bulk of the work prior to script execution and sends the appropriate headers.
Honestly, displaying the image and an 'image not loaded' error at exactly the same time seems like just another IE6 bug to me. I'm sure there's a workaround solution somewhere - but it really doesn't make any sense to me why it should occur in the first place.
Sorry I couldn't shed any more light - perhaps someone else here has a clue?
