Those tutorials are a great place to start! They really go into the process of exploring and modifying a template well. Get a good text editor and Fireworks along with the recommended Firefox extensions and you are well under way. That is not to say there won't be frustrations, but slogging through this stuff is a great learning experience!

I got it from some sort of png collection - can't remember where to be honest...
Would not mind sharing it, but as I don't know the maker and the license of it, I would rather not.

I've started molding my site.
I decided not to use the tutorial since the slices and fireworks got confusing for me.
So I just took the images from the template and edited them.
And I also edited the css.
