Allowing users to change template default?

  • Allowing users to change template default?

Posted 16 years 5 days ago
    • I asked this yesterday, but in a clumsy way. Let me try again...

I want to show our members in a demo website how easily changing templates can change the whole 'look and feel' of a website.

Is there a way to allow THEM to do this without giving them access to the administrator area (note: this is a DEMO website to show the power of templates)?

Or can someone point me to where the field is (and in which table) that gets flipper when I choose 'default' from my list of templates? I suppose I could 'roll my own' routine in PHP (probably what I have to do).

Thanks in advance for your help...

    • Is this to show the different variations of a specific RT template or to show a variation of different templates?

    • Different templates...

I want the user to be able to switch between (for example) Hyperion, Firenzie, Versatility 4, Elixer, etc.

We are making a service available where we will set them up with a Joomla website, and want to be able to show them our great Rocket Theme possibilities on the demo system!

Thanks in advance for any help.

    • This is EXACTLY what I needed! Why the @#%$^% didn't I think of going to the Extensions site?

I can only claim brain damage from having to learn Blackberry programming right now.

      Thanks again!
