I am new at joomla, and so far I understand its functionality, but I am a little concern about one thing. Colors Customization, I know how to create a basic site i.e. sections, categories, articles, etc, also creating and manipulating modules and all that, but I really need to able to manipulate colors.
I own a communications company so we are advisers about company’s identity guidelines meaning companies has specific colors, typography and so other elements that really need to be applied into brochures, manuals and web is not the exception.
Since we are new on this, we need to really understand how to manipulated and customize colors at all levels: menus, headers, footers, modules, typography, etc. So if there is something a tutorial, links or information we can work with, it will be really appreciated.
There are some parts of the website that are made of images. These can be changed by opening the template source files using Adobe Fireworks. The sources are included in each RT template release.
Retired, but build and run websites for organisations of school leaders and others - e.g. http://www.icponline.org, http://www.aspa.asn.au, http://www.appa.asn.au

And, to start you off, there is the Akiraka template (February '09), which allows you to choose the colour of 27 of the template elements.
