Customising for french people???

Hi
the users of the websites I publish are almost french or french language users (for 99,99% I guess...)
So as a new member I paid a registration fee for three templates and the first one I have downloaded (Solar sentinel) is showing many elements in english . e.g :
1) the date in left side at the top. How can I translate it in french???
2) The rockstock is using US values (Dow jones) How can I change it for Euronext and CAC40?

thank's for the beginning of a solution...
If it's seem simple to change by "hard coding" (which is not the best idea for an international website...there's no real solution for good writing sequence.
In your language the format of date is " tuesday july 14th 2009"
in french language it is like this : tuesday 14 july 2009"
So I can't do this (invert the nulmber of the day) with your templates....
