How to load TGZ..?

Total Newbie here if you hadn't gathered already..!
Migrating our site to a CMS Mambo solution. Trying to impliment DigitalEther, only issue is that under Template Install in Mambo, it wants a zip and cannot comprehend a tgz.
I am sure there is a logical way to get this up that I am not familliar with,
Any help/pointers would be much apprectiated. Someone failed to mention that going CMS is like Russian Dolls. Containers within modules within boxes with chip packets!

- you should have no problem uploading a .tgz with mambo. What version are you using?

I get the following error;

- Ok, you need to be running at least mambo 4.5.2, and I strongly suggest migrating to Joomla.

On the windows platform you can use PowerArchiver 2001 (which was freeware then) to uncompress tgz format files.
