Packing a template
Posted 15 years 8 months ago
When I move my template to deploy it "live", will all of the configured modules go with it or do I have to re-load those. (Pretty basic question, but I am a newbie and trying to figure out much much fine tuning to do before I go live.)
Thanks,
Michael C

You would need to reload them unless you are moving everything across and using your sql file from your development setup to populate the database.
You could look into using
joomlapack.net/
to make a backup and deploy it that way. I've not used it myself but read other posts saying its great.

Thanks. There is already a huge database on the live site, so I'll probably just move the template so I don't risk messing up the existing database.
