    • Hi

      I have just installed my site having set it up on localhost and having collected a few more grey hairs along the way I happily managed to login to my control panel.

      Then I wanted to change my password ...

      At this point I found out that not one single one of the buttons across the top of the page work.

      I can't save, apply, edit, logout... I can't even click help

      I have spent about three hours going through the various forums and not one of about 12 posts with similar problems seem to help me.

      I am using joomla 1.5.14 Stable
      Template infuse

      I have tried over writing administrator files, changing permissions. I would turn WYSIwyg off which some one suggested only I can't as there is no way for me to save it...

      Pleeeeeeeaaasee can some one help.

    • Do you use the tinyMCE Editor (configuration wysiwyg) ?
      since the version 1.5.12 i had got also problems to save with this editor.

      since that i use the jce (i have got JCE 154) which i find also more comfortable
      there are no more problems. you can also try to switch in configuration to the "no editor"
      configuration but then you have to work all articles in html. i think this is sometimes nice
      but not purpose of joomla work.

      Thanks, I've turned off the tinyMCE editor by setting the configuration.php to none and ftp'ing it but still can't save or apply or click help or even upload.

      I read somewhere there was an extension that you could add that resolved the save or apply problem so found it, went to extension, install, browse but when I clicked 'upload' absolutely nothing happened.

      It seems that whatever I do in administraction has lost the ability to 'stick'. Any more ideas? Am going insane here!

    • I have made a complete uninstall and complete reinstall of the very very latest joomla 1.5.15.

      I don't use any of my own files, they are all sample pages yet I still can't save, apply or anything. I've tried in Chrome, IE, Safari and Firefox

      I've attached a screen dump for anyone who can please please help. The red arrows point to the buttons that don't work, the green arrows to the ones that do...

    • How about re-upload all the joomla files from the installation package again (except the installation folder) ?

    • I've done that. Twice. Second time was a brand new install of latest version of joomla and things worked briefly but the instant I installed the database and templates - nothing worked.

      No functionality at all.

      Everything LOOKS like it is there but the instant you try to work with it... It's like being a ghost - lol - Can see everything, hear everything but can't DO anything.
      Can't save, can't apply, can't cancel, can't select All to see all the articles, modules etc

      If I knew what might be causing the problem I'd unt further but I don't know what's causing the glitch.

    • I never got the same problem like you. I searched Joomla forum and so far, I can only find this thread and it was the editor problem, but you said you even have it turned off.

      Could you please send me a PM with your Joomla SuperAdmin and FTP details so I can look closer to your problem?

    • Anyone??? Unfortunately MODS seem unable to find an answer either. Have site working but back end is still closed to me. Can see it but can't touch...
