I have downloaded all the site from ftp and re-uploaded them.
I have exported the database and set it back up on the new host.
I have changed to config.php file including the temp paths and log paths to:
var $log_path = '/home/kitchen1/public_html/yarm/logs';
var $tmp_path = '/home/kitchen1/public_html/yarm/tmp';
as well as the other database information.
When you visit the site on the new domain none of the links work corrently and keep linking back to the old domain. when i try to edit any content or install a new component i get the error:
· JFolder::create: Infinite loop detected
· Warning! Failed to move file.
as far as i know i think this may be because i have the file paths incorrect as i put above, i checked the permissions are set to 777 on the temp and log files.
Really urgent that i get this up and running correctly, any help would be really amazing. as i am now pulling my hair out !!

thanks for your help, this is the first time i have ever tried to transfer a joomla so sorry to sound like an idiot.
Just a another quick question, im in the process of downloading the back up that joomlapack creates, all the old files that i previously uploaded to ftp for the site, is it best to delete them all ? or will joomla pack simply replace ?

joomla pack has supplied me with a jps file back up of my website. My C panel will not allow me to extract this, do i need to convert it to a zip file ??
