After working with Rockettheme templates for several years, I am becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the default administrator template in Joomla.
I went in search of an administrator template. First I looked on the Rockettheme site and was disappointed though I wasn't surprised. If you had your own administrator template it would come with all of your rocketlaunchers so I went looking elsewhere for something free and yet very good.
I discovered two things:
1. There is only one free admin template out there.
2. It really isn't all that good...just different.
Apparently there is a lot of interest in this regard based on the forum on Joomla.org.

I want an administrative template that I can customize for branding purposes on sites I develop and manage. Any suggestions?

I'm using that. It does have some benefits. But adjusting to new admin template is weird.
