Known Incompatibility Issues With Non-Rockettheme Modules?

Posted 15 years 2 months ago
    • Hi,

I'm considering purchasing the JoomlaXTC V-Tube Pro Video Gallery video module and integrating it into my Rockettheme Dominion template. I was wondering if there are any known incompatibilities with this?

      Thanks,
      Matt

    • Hi Matt,

      A) We can not guarantee that every 3rd party component will function properly with RT templates. While 99% do, some developers use js scripting that may conflict with our template's script.
      B) As this is a commercial extension, there's no way for us to test it, unless of course we purchase it.
      C) While I visited the demo site, took a look at the scripts they use and didn't see anything that may be a problem, I can't say with certainty. (See A & B)

      If I were you, I'd
      A) ask them directly.... perhaps they'd be willing to do a test setup to answer your question (No info on their support page and the forum is closed unless you are a subscriber.)
      B) look for a non-commercial extension and give it a go, see if it will do what you want. (All Videos Reloaded comes to mind.)
    • Thanks,

      Hi JEM!

Very informative. Thanks a bunch for the advice. I will contact them and ask them before making a decision.

      Cheers,
      Matt
