The colors you chose do not lend much to draw from for the header. Are you 100% fixed on the current color scheme?
What are the dimensions of the header you are planning to use?

- You also need to think of your target market (what age group are they etc) I think you need a crisp clean professional logo - Or alternatively a more fun "web 2.0 style" type logo - making the topic more inviting etc. Did I just contradict myself?

Colors..........
When I hear the word Medical... color wise I think of whites, blues, reds, stainless steel, nurses, doctors, candy stripers, cotton balls, crosses, shields etc.
When you use these words : Genetic Engineering, Euthanasia & Abortion I still think "clinical" ie. blood, microscopes, tubes, syringes, masks, scalpels, stethoscopes, big fancy machines that go "bleep".........
Are you sure about the browns/tans/gold in site color scheme?

What is your target audience? What goal is there for the site? Will it be a site for open discussion? News?
Sorry for all the questions it's how I brainstorm.......
Hope some of the questions help you think also.......and maybe give you some ideas.... - Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Everything is not set in stone yet but the title maybe was not clear. Its more of the Relgious views/arguements on Medical ethics (which could change to another topic).
I do not really want to go for the professional look, just something a tad fun.

Just kidding, maybe the image of a head with dna moving about.....kind of like dna is in the body but also on the mind.

I do have an Xbox and a 360 - i find time to do websites, gaming but never coursework ;D
The topic may be shifting for now. For this little project, I thought Fundamentalism in Religion would be a more interesting topic but knowing me, i may do both.
