here is one on my 1.5 site using the builtin auto updater:

- You can always just download it and install it via the installer manually. that does work. however I was able to auto-update my 1.5 and 1.6 version just fine. are you able to update other things like Joomla?

- i usually am. i never have a problem with updating any of the akeeba stuff using their native updaters.. i have been having an issue with the new JCE as to not updating, but can install things from their builtin updater.. as for j1.6 i cant test that to see if the native updater works cuz im on j1.7beta and thats wanting me to downgrade to 1.6.5
