Quick Link Error Message

I created a Quick Link to Templates Manager: Edit Style using this url:
index.php?option=com_gantry&view=template&layout=edit&id=8
It works just fine, however after I hit Save & Close or Close I get this after the fact error message:
"You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#
."
Is the url incorrect or should I not use a Quick Link for this purpose?
Joomla!: 1.7
Mission Control: 1.6.3
Gantry: 3.2.8
PHP: 5.2.7

- Joomla 1.7 has some 'security' features that mean your URL is not correct. You are using the 'resolved' url, but you have to use the URL that is from the original link, so find where the link is to that page, rather than the url on the page you end up on. Make sense?
