    SOLVED SEO Help Need -

Posted 13 years 11 months ago
    • So I'm using the Metamorph template, and highly doubt that matters.

So I enabled the out of the box Joomla SEO options but my URL looks like this:
      webstudioj.com/services-mainmenu-27/webs...ign-mainmenu-28.html

Where services is the main menu and website design is the name of the article.

How do I get it just read webstudioj.com/websitedesign minus the menu stuff?

      Thanks.

    • It's to say without seeing your settings, but try turning off the "Add Suffix to URLS" option in global configuration - that one isn't important.
    • The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

    • That didn't work. Some of the pages show up correctly.

webstudioj.com/blog, webstudioj.com/portfolio, but others that still show up as the above URL with the menu text in them.. hmm.

    • Well, it sounds like you're one step closer. I would recommend going into all of your menu items and checking the Alias, delete the alias then save it - it may be coming from there. If that doesn't help PM me a login and I'll take a look, it's hard to say anymore without seeing your settings.

    • Wierd, I tried deleting the alias's but it gave a 404, but when I went back in and deleted again, its worked and the URL's show up correctly.

      Thanks for the help Cliff.
