    • Hi Guys,

      I want to make a website that allows customers to view/shop digital files/images and download like a onlinestore.

      I have looked into everything like Virtuemart/ Ecwid and many more. Problem is every component is made to sell not offer for free.

      I really want a nice component when you can read about the files/images add to a cart then download when finished. Its very important that they dont have to download one at a time cause that can take forever!

      Any ideas?

    • Seems you need a download component, not a shop component..

      RokDownloads, DocMan, PhocaDownloads?

      With any of these you can offer free DLs, and package up files so they don't need to be DL one at a time.

      (Keep in mind that some hosts / servers limit the max DL size, so that is something you may have to deal with.)

      I basiclly need a system where the client can see all there product hots/images. Add them to a basket and mass download them all.

      I really like the shopping basket idea, I have checked all those you suggested before and they are very text heavy.....

      Ill keep looking.

      I have looked into Remository, its very hard to navigate and get your head around if you are not a web developer/full time user. Need something very simple and clean. Phocadownload has been the closest so far, but its very complicated to upload a single file/ a lot involved.

      I have been down the virtuemart as a catalogue path, but you cant add anything to the basket if it has no price. Seems like such a simple thing!

      Thanks for having a look. I have seriously put weeks of research into it. Open market if anyone has the time.

    • I'm pretty sure most photo gallery components do this. You can click a button or icon to add to your download zip file, but not download the zip until you're finished.

      Look at PhocaGallery and JoomGallery and see if those have this feature listed. If you're only working with photos, this might be a better place to start researching instead of a store type set up.
