Need a little help on something

    • I'm using the Replicant2 Wordpress Theme 1.4 by RocketTheme, LLC and have a pretty basic question.

On my opening page, I made a post however there are two things I would not like to have seen and don't know how to remove them. Here's the site: blog.keithalanproductions.com

      How can I remove:

    • In your article manager, open your parameters. Set the author and last updated information to hide. Hope that helps.
    • The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

    • I guess I know just enough to get me into trouble but not to get out. Is the article manager another name for my post? I don't know where to find the "parameters".

    • In the backend of Joomla, select Article Manager from the Content menu - or push the Article Manager button in the dashboard - once there look near the top left, there is a button called Parameters, press it. A list of options will come up and you can hide the author and date information there. Click save when you are done. Hope that helps.

    • sorry to be such a dumb a$$ here but I'm not using a Joomla theme. When I opened the Rocket Theme page, I clicked on "wordpress" and use the "Replicant2 Wordpress Theme"

    • It's very important to either post your questions in the correct forum or inform us of your environment when posting in a general forum such as this one.

Now I can answer your question correctly. Open index.php in your theme directory, comment out or delete lines 190 - 193, the post_meta_data div, the author info. Then, comment out or delete lines 204-206, the div that contains the modifydate span, to remove the date. This will remove these items on your home page, to remove them from other pages, find the same codes in single.php, page.php, page-cms.php and page-blog.php. Hope that helps.

    • I thought I did that when I made my original post. Sorry if I was unclear.

    • Ah, I see it now, I missed it the first time. Generally speaking, you should have posted this in the Wordpress Replicant forum, it's easier for the moderators to spot what you're using that way. You should be good to go either way, sorry for the confusion.
