Read our Farewell Blog Post for more details.
Can anyone tell me how to do this correctly? I have found a bunch of related articles out there, but I'm afraid I might need some step-by-step instruction. Hoping someone might be willing to help me here (or tell me this is way over my head).

Try popping the javascript into a custom HTML module (with WYSIWYG switched OFF) and set it to the DEBUG position (dont show the title) and set the module class suffix to 'flush', show it only on the page you want the image map!
Then pop the HTML into another custom HTML module (with WYSIWYG switched off) and set it to the module location and page you want.
