Hi, I've finished my site byronbayweddings.com.au which was built using Camber template. This has been my first experience with both Joomla and rocket theme, and I am really happy with both. The site has so many facets which are constantly being changed and updated, that it has been the perfect solution. Everybody loves the site, but I do get a few people mentioning how slow it is.
At first I thought it was due to the fact it was hosted in USA with bluehost and that I'm in Australia (as are 90% of our site visitors) so I switched to Netregistry, the fastest in Australia.. but after all that, it isn't much faster?...
I would love some advice of things I can do to make it go faster from people who are more experienced.

- For what its worth, I am in the USA, Idaho and the site loaded on firefox in about 15 seconds.

This has been discussed millions of times on the web and thousands of times on our forum.
The general answer is that you should compress the images, use RokGZipper or any other compression tool. Keep the amount of JavaScripts and Flash to a minimum...
...And use a good webhost. - Please reply with a direct link to the issue & create a new thread for each new issue.

Nice website, looks very professional.
I wanted to chime in here about how I recently increased the page loading speed of my RT/Joomla! site with one pretty easy fix. There was a cost (29.95 usd) involved. However it seems to have payed of greatly. I purchased jomCDN from corephp. What it does essentially is streamline the process of placing your entire website contents to be served from Amazon's cloud servers located throughout the world and speeding up the loading of your pages no matter where the visitor's location. It takes many other steps to reduce load speeds as well.
My site was pretty slow, up there in the 15 second range. Now it's like under 10 and my performance grades at pingdom and google page speed took a major boost from like 60/100 to 85/100. Seems to have help greatly and have been worth the small monetary investment and ease of installation.
