SEO tips
Posted 13 years 4 months ago
Hi Guys.
OK so... im doing my absolute best to get good results from search engines with my site.
I have sitemaps, google analytics, RT theme, tons of keywords, no flash, titles, descriptions, xml map, rss, clean css and html etc...
Ive added pretty much everything i can think of to the site.
I have at least 20 links between my site and other related sites which are reciprocal links and i have 1 parked domain and plenty of forum topics around other sites with our site advertised on it.
We have a blog with articles and cleverly used wording etc...
Yet my google pagerank is 0/10.
Im using the redirect tool to improve some of the redirection and SEF is switched on within the site.
... to be honest I can't help you.
I never did a thing for seo: no keywords, no site map and I have a value of 6.
I have about 1000 visitors each month.
Not sure if that page rank thing is still a valid creterea.
-Nobody knows what the PR really stands for and there's no relation between your PR and your positions in the SERPs. you can have a low PR and still be on the first page for competitive keywords.
The only people still interested in PR are old fashioned media planner, not real webmasters.
-Reciprocal links have very few impact (if none at all) on your SERPs. Google can spot reciprocal links and consider them as a commercial exchange. So you'd better work on non-reciprocal links.
-Work on your titles, description, H tags, inner links.
-Do not stuff your website with keywords, it's a penalty.
-Get a Rocket theme (but I believe you've done this already) :cheesy:
But the most important would certainly be inbound genuine links.
