When I first start to develop a site I create an account for it on a shared hosting account but I do not point the DNS to it. So the link to the site while it is in development, looks something like this 56.17.123.12/~siteusername. Then, when the site gets launched, I point the DNS to it and the site goes live. However, I have now noticed that when I press the HOME button from any internal page, the URL changes and displays the IP address instead of the domain name. How do I change this to read the domain name instead of the IP address?
Many thanks,
Houston

Look in your configuration.php file in your root directory, find the $live_site variable and see if the IP address is there. If so, just remove it or enter the correct URL. Hope that helps.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
