Adding a field to the registration page?

Hey there,
I was wondering... Is it possible to add a field to the registration page. I wanted to add the option for people to enter their serial number with out having them go to a separate form.
(when you actually click to register and be a member of the said website.. where it asks for your user name / pw etc...) I hope that makes sense.

I guess the easiest way would be to use already provided "User - Profile" joomla plugin. Enable this plugin, activate for example "Favourite Book" user field and disable all the others and use Language manager overrides tab to change default language string from "Favourite Book" to "Serial number"
If that is not good for you, search JED for suitable Extended registration plugins or registration replacements

- Go to Language manager, and in the tab links area you will see the very last tab link called "Overrides"

- Thanks, I found it but its not registering anything called favorite... I tried searching for city, region, country.. etc and none of those things are showing up.

HM. Are you sure that you searched for correct expression? You are mentioning here "favorite" and you should search for "Favourite"

- I searched for favourite... Sorry about that, my computer auto corrected it lol. But yeah, It not pulling anything up for that.
