    • I am trying to find a way to post a thumbnail of a YouTube video, not the fullsize version. My company has a bunch of videos posted to our own YouTube channel, so I'd like to feature several of them in a sidebar.

      Any suggestions?

    • Maybe you could use some kind of youtube gallery module. Search JED for a suitable one 8)

    • @beth0612:
There are several ways to do this and maybe one of these will help. We went through something similar with a client and we're happy to share our lumps so you don't have to. One of these might help:
      1) Create thumbnails of the videos, place them in your article or module, then launch in a popup lightbox with Rokbox
      2) Use JCE editor with Image Manager Extended to create the thumbnail, then launch the video with JCEMediabox in a popup.
      3) Place the embed code for each video in an article under the same category, then use a slide/scroller extension to display as we did here with YooScroller: http://xidex.com/social-media.html . You might be able to use RokTabs : http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=36&t=100430&rb_v=viewtopic
      4) You can try this extension from CorePHP: http://www.corephp.com/joomla-products/youtube-module.html At $7, this would be your cheapest option.

      Good luck.
