I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around the whole process of organizing my site with Joomla, please bear with me...
1. My site will have a dowload page that needs to be organized in categories and sections, easy to navigate, easy to search. I am wondering about the best way to organize this.
I think there may be too many to list in sub menus...
With what little I know I was thinking about this.
Menu Item: Downloads (Article Layout)
On this page, a list of all the major categories & sections with links to a pages for sub-categories & sub-sections.
This is similar to what I saw in MM with the sample data installed and followed the 'Features' link...
That's one option, but I don't know if a user could search easily.
Another option,
Menu Item: Downloads (Category List Layout)
Create an artical for each download.
Or, any suggestion that would work better....
2. My site will also have a video page for tutorials. Keeping in mind that it must be *fairly simple' to implement, I am also wondering how to implement this.
I imagine I could do something similar as mentioned above, category list layout, but I don't know if it would work the way I want.
What I'd like is a page with thumbnails of the video displayed, and when clicking on a thumbnail, it opens and plays in something like lytebox, or thick box, etc.
Is it possible to do so with the MM template, without being a Rocketeer, or should I look for another module or plug-in.
