    Mambot to execute SQL query in content?

    • I am trying to add a line in my header that highlights the number of entries in our database (e.g., "We Currently Have XXX Published..."); for this, I am using a Select COUNT and pulling the number from the db table. However, being new to Joomla (and php), I am not sure I can inject raw code into the content areas or even custom modules.

      Hugh over in the Fabrik forums (the extension I am using for all my forms and db wrok, my favorite extension, btw :) ) said there used to be a mambot entitled mosdbquery that would serve me well, but unable to find it.

      Are there any mambots/extensions that would enable me to drop a query or two into content?

    • I'm not sure if Gabe(the owner of that site) is a rocketteer, but if he is, he has never posted here. He is however a Joomla expert and know's his way around code :)

      We both happen to hail from the same tiny little Island group in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, but I don't know him personally. :D
