i've getting a database error when accessing the forum, or shoudl that be, users who visit it for the first time are

can anyone shed some light on this. i've jad it in the BoJ forums all day and nothing ..

Sorry I have no idea what it is... FB always work on my installs.
Have you tried uninstalling and remove all leftovers in the DB? Perhaps some error happened when you installed the extension?
