Upgrading the Chromatohpore theme to 1.5.7

- Can anyone tell me exactly how to upgrade my current chromatophore site 1.5.6 to 5.7 code ? I am thinking all is needed is to move some patch files to the directory...via ftp. What else? or is this incorrect ?
