I just Neo-traced IMhosted in Atlanta, GA.
I use AT&T for internet. This displays how crazy AT&T's node routing is.
The trace (see image) Goes from 1- Little Rock, AR. to Plano, TX (suburb of Dallas) 2- Plano, TX. to Chicago, Ill. 3- Chicago, Ill. back to Dallas, TX. 4- and finally - Dallas, TX. to Atlanta, GA.
They don't even realize the big wasted loop in the middle of the route!
This is why the buying and selling of bandwidth, like you would a commodity, is a bad idea.
the direct (as the crow flies) distance is 438 miles, but the rerouting makes for a total trip of about 2000 miles!
Ridiculous! There should be a better-way....
