Modify many articles at once, is that posible?

  • Modify many articles at once, is that posible?

Posted 15 years 6 months ago
    • Hi there, i was wandering if that could be done, and how. In this case y had an article which has many instances (one pre category) and ill would like to change it in all categories at once.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks

    • Someone-else might have a better answer, but I've used the JCE editor offline to make changes then just upload them at once.
I've never tried it other-wise. Sorry I'm much more help than that.

    • @John, i was unable to get re-replacer doing anything noticiable. Any way as i said, solved my problem editing directly on the database.

      Just an update.
@JEM, im gonna look that too

    • Hi Julian, Rereplacer does not touch your database. What it does is to enable you to make changes to things like names and words in the pages that rereplacer changes dynamically as the pages are displayed. For example, if you want to change all occurrences of the word 'London' to "Paris', rereplacer can do that for you - you don't have to search through every file for the word 'London'. But the original text in the Joomla database for your site is not changed. I also use it to make temporary changes for summer and winter seasons or for different months of the year.

    • Yeah, thats what ive thought but like i said when rereplacer "article" is created and search replace filled + plublished, nothing happend :) Anyway dont worry about it, so far ive solved that issue editing directly the database and i guess that ill probably get other benefits if ive learn some mysql commands.
