Technopia - April 06 Template Released

Posted 18 years 8 months ago
    • Technopia template has been released, summary as follows:

"Technopia is a very clean design that really shows off the power of the Joomla! templating capabilities. This month RocketTheme has implemented some new features never before seen in a Joomla Template. The first item which you will notice is the brand new completely custom CSS driven horizontal menu. This menu is based on the RocketTheme suckerfish menu system, but has been modified to support this horizontal layout. As with other RocketTheme menu systems like RTSplitMenu and RTSuckerfish, this new RTSuperSucker menu system maintains the top-level active state when you select a menu item in the second level. Play around with it to see the power of this navigation device and you will quickly see how useful this is for your users.

Another neat feature is the MooFX based ‘accordian’ module block on the side of the main content area. This allows you to stack lots of modules into this area while retaining valuable real estate and white-space in your layout. It’s more than just dazzling good looks, it’s practical to boot!

Technopia is also a pure CSS template that uses no tables to control the layout, this allows for increased performance and better SEO capabilities. This template comes with 3 color variations built in, 2 width choices, and the option to flip the template from left to right orientation."

    • Looking at your demos online
      FF 1.5x winxp sp2
the header navigation bar spans 100% of screen, stretching to left and right past the actual menu tabs and the entire centerblock of the site template.
      Looks weird

    • Nice job (again), Andy.

Though I do see Mark's point, the menu strip spreading across the screen does look a little weird on larger monitors, as does the fade to the background on the lower part of the page.

Those are just minor criticisms though, it's an excellent template overall. Especially love the menu.

It really was a deciding point in renewing my membership which expires this month!

      Keep the excellent design flowing!

    • RTsupersucker is not a module. As its not a module, you don't install it. The code is built directly into the template :)
