On the front page using the "Fresco Featured" menu item, is there any way for the Articles to link to the article page using href="self" instead of within the front page?

For example, I created a new "Latest News" main menu link and using the same menu type item, but when the individual article title links are clicked, it opens on its own page: www.brandechomedia.com/clients/miveteran2/index.php/blog

After reviewing the SEF links, I see that the links generated from the home page are missing the following parameter "/blog" which is also the alias. Any item how to fix this?
In so many words, I do not wish for featured articles on the "Home" page to open within the home page. Is there a setting that I am missing?

For those struggeling with "Rich Design" ...
The frontpage is a features articles blog.
The words "Rich Design" is the "Page heading" that you can set in "Page Display Options" directly in the menu-item.
The image behind the title can be set in "Layout Options" > "Custom Header Image"
