I have a request, if you solve your questions or someone solves it for you, can you please go back and modify the original post and change the message icon to "SOLVED". This will really help others looking for answers to the same questions.

- I noticed that after a period of time we cannot edit the first post to mark as SOLVED.

- Yeah, I still don't see where I am able to do this. I have a couple of posts that I have posted after the move to the new forum software that I want to mark solved, but I cannot find an "edit post" button or link anywhere in my first post. And there are "solved" icons...?

Yeah, this must be something that only Mods and above can see, because on my own posts, all I can see are the exclamation point (report this post) and quote icons/buttons. I don't see anywhere, an edit link that I can click on to change/update/modify my own posts.
Okay, the minute I posted this message, there was an edit icon/button in the "post" header area next to the exclamation point, but unlike another message I am testing, this one does not have an "x" button next to it. I clicked "edit," and now I am entering this second paragraph. Maybe it shows up for some time (maybe until someone replies?) and then disappears? Hmmm.... I bet tomorrow I will not be able to edit this message.
