virtuemart features categories and main menu

  • virtuemart features categories and main menu

Posted 14 years 4 months ago
    • I am a newbie on joomla and rockettheme. I have been creating an eshop on Mynxx and to start with I used the featured products module to display products on the left side of the template, which worked fine.

I also created an item on main menu and chose virtuemart to display the products as listed in the categories.

Everything worked find untill I decided I needed to change all products and deleted the categories. When I uploaded the new products and descriptions these two stopped working.
I also use rokvirtuemart scroller on the homepage which seems to be working fine and also virtuemart categories which works fine as well. I have recreated the main menu item and the featured prints in hope that they will work, but it doesnt seem to work.

      Any help?

    • hi, i'm in the same situation.
I uses the Mynxx demo content for my own e-shop website, i don't know when & why but since i
since i've modify the Mynxx product content list, the module has disapeared!
As soon as I started to fill my list of products, the module has gone without changing anything in the settings. I tried everything, reloaded the V1.0, settings ok in the template, the same in the module, make sure it is active. It doesn't work anymore.
I am unable to tell you where & how to repair it, obviously nobody knows.

    • hi there,

to have a product show up under featured products you need to set them to 'special', see screeni.

    • I had the same problem but it got solved when I marked the products as special products, as indicated in this post.

But I am confronted with another problem:
I want these special products to have a fixed order, not to change their position everytime I refresh the page.

      How can this be fixed?

Thanks for anyone who can reply to this.
