    Multisite Config ---[will it work]

Posted 14 years 9 months ago
    • Greetings all, ok so here is what I want to do. I'm gonna need multi sites for my company, however all the sites fall under my main company, so all my sub sites will be just that a sub domain like subsite.mysite.com. what I want is to have a header bar that one can log in and register in and be able to access all sites with that one log in. The header bar would be on top of all pages. I also need all databases to be independent, except of coarse the account data. is this possible to do with rockettheme's template framework. I'll add some photos of a markup of something that I want, bear in mind these pics are just markups.

This would be the main site users would go to or this could be any subsite, the important thing is the headerbar.

Ok now here we have the site logged in it's showing the mainsite, however this could also be any of the sub sites.

Now we have the main site with the selection box activated

Now it shows the subsite one with the selection box indicating and the header bar the same.

and for the last image this just shows the relation of the selection box items to the site it's on.

So that in a nut shell is what I want to do, and that is have a multi site design with one loggin for all. Also each site would have it's own forum as well, but need all forum to connect to one account database. I hope this is easy to understand.
