Editing / Removing Footer Notes

Hi,
I am trying to remove the footer. I have disabled the the footer module but the footer won't turn off or on.
At the bottom of every page it shows © Designed by RocketTheme with the RocketTheme logo. I know I can switch out the image files to remove the logo but I can't seem to figure out how to remove
© Designed by RocketTheme.
