How does one customize the front page text formatting

  • How does one customize the front page text formatting

Posted 14 years 7 months ago
    • I am using the Zephyr theme and trying to customize specific words to display as different colors.

For instance, I want the word "New!" in red, but when I try to do this, the Zephyr theme overwrites the customization.

Does anyone know how to change this?

      Thanks.

    • Hello,

      1. Are you referring to text in an article or module?
      2. Are you using a WYSIWYG or HTML editor?
      3. Is your site online? If so, what is the URL so we can get a look at it.

    • My site is offline.

Yes, this is text in an article.

Yes, I am using JCE WYSIWYG editor.

    • Not sure what would be causing this. I have installed JCE on my Zephyr test site and everything works fine with text color changes.

To further clarify, are you changing the text color of a link, a heading (title) or just regular paragraph text?

    • I went in to the article manager and created a new article and set it to a front page article (This will display the article on the main page) and published it.

Within the article (Backend editing) I specify that I want text to display as red, which it does in the backend, but does not on the main site.

Is there a way to display a custom HTML module on the main page? If I can accomplish this, I should be able to get it working fine. However I do not see a Position called "main".

    • So I went through and cleared the entire page/article code for the article having problems and re-created the page and everything is working now. There must have been an un-closed tag or something causing the problem.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my post!
