Good Page Speed/YSlow Score & Timeline - Slow Browser Load

What tools do you guys use to troubleshoot what could be causing slow browser load times? I've got a site that I've been working on the past few days to increase the Page Speed and YSlow grade but have noticed a JS error due to combining JS files with JCH Optimize. It was the Mootools.js that I had to exclude and it fixed the error but dropped me from a 90% to 89%/88% grade.
However the issue I'm trying to figure out now is why the pages load so slow in a browser.... so I thought I'd see what some of you use to troubleshoot an issue like this.
