Kinetic Shopping Cart Display

- We are using the Kinetic template and have VirtueMart shopping cart install. The issue that I am having is when somebody adds and item to the cart of clicks to view the cart the home page contents show above the cart. Users do not know that the cart is being displayed unless they scroll down to see it. Has anybody run into this issue and know a work around for it. We were using the Versatility III template before switching to Kenetic and didn't not have the issue so I am guessing it is a setting within the template.
