Component Install: Another component is already using direct
Posted 14 years 2 months ago
Hi,
Newbie here. I just purchased 3 templates from Joomla. I was able to install a free template prior to my purchase, but after purchasing, I'm trying to install Zephyr and am getting:
"Component Install: Another component is already using directory: /services4/webpages/e/r/ericzeb.com/public/site/components/com_rocketthemezephyrtemplateforjoomlabundle"

Hi there,
Have you already installed a gantry based template on the site? If you have then you will need the standalone version of the template not the bundled version.
Hope this helps

Hi David,
I had installed Haiku (a freebie) just to see if I could get the template to load. It worked. Not sure if that qualifies as what you call a Gantry template. I think it does, and you're right, I was using the bundled version because I didn't even scroll down the page to read all the details and see that there was a standalone version.
So, I found out that Zephyr is only compatible with Joomla 1.5 and I installed 1.6.
Would you recommend I download and install the Zephyr RocketLauncher, which "contains a full Joomla 1.5.22 install as well as the Zephyr template"? Or should I uninstall 1.6 and replace it with 1.5 and then install the bundled zephyr?
Sorry to bombard you with what must seem like fundamentals.

Hi there,
I always recommend that people use RocketLauncher on a clean install in a sub-directory and its own database. That way you play and learn at the same time. You can then build your site in the main directory.
Hope this helps
