SOLVED-Modulus template does not change style or colors

I am a newbie to Joomla, but do know about HTML and CSS and can read a little PHP.
I installed Joomla 1.6.4 and the Modulus template. ( www.griffid.nl/website/ )
I also installed a rocket launcher 1.5 demo environment with Modulus on my local Mac for inspiration :cheesy: on how to rebuild on 1.6.
Now I like to change the style and colors in the Joomla 1.6 Modulus template, but my template does NOT change the website when I change a style or color and save. Nothing happens. :shock:
I can create menu's and articles, that's no problem, but nothing with colors or styles. When I click on Save it does give a message above in a blue color, but it's not readable unfortunately, see attachment.

UPDATE: THIS HAD TO DO WITH CERTAIN RIGHTS I DID NOT HAVE ON THE WEBSERVER HARDDISK/HOSTING SERVER!
I MOVED MY SITE TO A DIFFERENT HOST AND NOW EVERYTHING IS WORKING. - Last Edit: 13 years 8 months ago by sklar.

- Probably not it but have you refreshed the browser and cleared cache? Ctrl F5

Thanks for your reply! I reloaded like 134 times. It doesn't help.
More ideas are welcome!

are you using the latest version of gantry?
when you go to > site > system information > directory permissions... is everything writable?
