UNRESOLVED: HTTP 200 OK/Server Error

PROBLEM: A Joomla site developed under a temp/sub directory within my Host Monster account is receiving errors in the new production site

(also HM).
ELABORATION:
* I developed a new joomla site in a subdirectory of my existing HM hosting account ( www.neotechnics.com/clients/weitzner ).
* The site functions normally in that location.
* I deployed the site on my client's web hosting account (Network Solutions).
* The site was zipped and extracted without alteration (with the exception of modifying the 'RewriteBase' in the .htaccess file to accomodate root location), HOWEVER, I began receiving 'server errors' when attempting to log.
NOTE: Although it says 'server error' it should be noted that the operation completes successfully (i.e. http code 200 OK). It seems like it just doesn't know how/where to redirect to after the fact.
* Since the site work fined on HM servers, I talked my client into changing hosting providers to Host Monster.
* I deployed the site to HM servers under a NEW hosting account (not under my plan):
( www.jweitzner.com )
* I commented out the '# RewriteBase ' in the .htaccess file.
* The main difference is that the site is now in root (vs. a temp/sub directory).
* Unfortunately, I'm now receiving the same 'server error' under the new account.
MY REQUEST
My hope is that someone who is familiar with .htaccess can either a) review the settings in the .htaccess file, and/or b) point me to the logs where further debugging/troubleshooting info can be obtained. I can provide access if you need it.
REPLICATING THE PROBLEM
Easy....just go to www.jweitzner.com , click Login and complete the NEW REGISTRATION form. Once you submit it, you'll receive the HTTP 200 OK/server error.
I'm certain this is an easy fix once I determine the cause.
I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS SITE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY so that my client is happy.
