can not access template in joomla backend i just get a blank

hi,
can anyone help me?
i installed the bundle nebulae and it worked for a week or 2 them i installed rock gallery which worked fine for a few days. i then tried out some different google web fonts and everything was okay.
next time i logged into my joomla backend to edit the template i just get a white screen. i disabled the gallery which resolved this only for a while then it went back to being blank. (i have the same problem for all rocket templates)after much time spent disabling all modules etc i reinstalled a fresh joomla database (im using 1.7) and it still doesnt work.
the problem is intermittent as occasionally i can go into the template settings but all the settings buttons are static images which i can not alter.
my gantry is up to date. i have looked at the forums and see that a couplke of people have experienced this but no route to resolving it seems to exist.
i'd be extremely grateful for any help.

please list your environment information.
Template name and version?
php version
joomla version
mySQL version
server type?
do they meet the minimum requirements for the template you are using?
also have you checked the server error logs?

hi,
i have turned the error reporting to maximum and when i click into the template editor i now get the following error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 381152 bytes) in /home/sites/sharpshotphotography.co.uk/public_html/libraries/gantry/libs/phpQuery.php on line 506
sometimes the error is on line 503.
does this shed any light on my problem?

hi kat,
thank you for your reply.
my host providfer has said that they can do that with a file but have asked what file size setting is recommended. it is strange that wehn i 1st installed teh gantry and template bundle that it worked finee for about a month.
