All modules give an internal server error upon saving

PHP Version 5.2.0-8+etch16
After re-installing Joomla 1.5.25 twice, I have installed 1.5.23 (in the hope that 1.5.25 is buggy).
No matter which version I use, everytime I create a new module and try to save it, I get an internal server error. I can not get any answers regarding this on the web - could someone please point me in the right direction?
I am think of using a Rocketlauncher in the hope that it will somehow install/replace whatever is missing/causing the error. - Last Edit: 13 years 2 months ago by Lourika.

OK - after a Joomla 1.5 Rocketlaunch install, modules can now be created, saved and edited. Not sure what the problem was - just glad it is solved and that the Internal Server Error screen of death is gone.
Hopefully this can help someone.

Hi,
I am glad that you solved your issue. Just one remark for the future reference. You can set error reporting in the joomla global configuration to the maximum. That will give you better view in the error and will give you better answer what is causing this issue. Sometimes, those server errors just means that your folder or/and file permissions are wrong - Check my services at: Mihha-Vision

- Thanks Igor - I will do that - I thought it might perhaps be a permission problem as i have been struggling with owning some folders. But detailed error reporting is the thing - thanks!
