Hope this helps you guys with the database install error message INSTL_ERROR_INITIALISE_SCHEMA, as it has taken me five days of work and a lot of help from friends at Arizona PC Service that are much smarter than I to get this figured out...
Turns out that in the true (OTB) Joomla 2.5.6 version, not an internal 2.5.4 update, where GoDaddy is concerned, there is a change in the code that limits the acceptable factors for the database password creation. In that you cannot use certain characters in the password creation as you were able to use before. I was using an underscore (_) in my passwords as I have for years and in all of my Joomla databases up to my use of 2.5.6. The 2.5.4 versions all worked well and the 2.5.6 versions I have running that started out as a v2.5.4, that I had updated with in the already hosted 2.5.4 version through my CP, work fine. I ran into this problem five days ago with the first running of my true, new out of the box, 2.5.6 version of Joomla!
The bottom line here...if your using GoDaddy hosting and using the new (OTB) version of Joomla! v2.5.6 you can not use certain characters or symbols in the creation of your database passwords!

I just got the same error message and have nothing but numbers and letters in my password. The database name and user name both have underscores. There is nothing I can do about this. Now what?
