    • Hello,

Are you running Google Analytics or using Google Web Tools? If you run these applications Google will not only list your duplicate content and a description, but also a link.

If you have an "article" with content that reads something like:

Radiumhosting is the best hosting company ever!

Then in the Meta description you enter:

Radiumhosting is the best hosting company ever!

The result will be duplicate content. If you enter the same Meta description in more than one meta description field, you have duplicate meta descriptions.

As a rule, browsers, search engines, etc. like content that is different and fresh.

Though a tedious process... content needs to be different / original. Something like this:

Article: Radiumhosting is the best hosting company ever!
Meta Description: If you want the best most reliable hosting company, join Radiumhosting.

I'm sure you get the idea.

      Hope this helps.

    • Wish it was that easy, but Webmaster Tools is picking up /2. As you can see it's also listing web-hosting with and without the trailing slash. I also have duplicate title tags due to the trailing web-hosting slash.

Joomla 1.5.x doesn't do this. If you add /# to a URL, a 404 error is shown as it should be.
