SOLVED Need help with installing joomla template

Hi,
I am very new to using joomla. I saw a nice template on the site so i bought my club membership and dowloaded the template. When i downloaded it i didn't see any tgz files like the are in the instrunctional video. When i go to extansions manager and try to upload the template i don't know what to select. Perhaps you can download your template file again and save it to your desktop so you can find it easier. The download file should be a .zip file. After download, go to Extensions >> Install >> and Upload your Install package. Select the Choose File and browse to your downloaded file on your desktop (or wherever you have it saved) and then select Upload and Install.

Hi Nanci,
Thanks for your fast response. I downloaded the file on a mac, i don't know if that makes any difference. I also tried downloading another template but i still got the same problem. When i try to select the folder it opens a new map with alot of different files but no tgz.

Hi Nanci,
The template i am talking about is the rt_ionosphere template.
I made some screenshots so you can follow my steps and have a better view about what i'm talking about.
1: this is what i saw when i dowloaded the template.
This image is hidden for guests.

2: i click on the map and this is what i see.

3: i click on the map rt_ionosphere and i see this.

The same thing happens when i try to select it in extensions manager in joomla!

Hi Nanci,
I finally found out what the problem was. When i downloaded the template the zip file opened automatically into a folder. When i went to my browser options and turned that off i got the zip file. When i uploaded the zip file into the extension manager it work perfectly fine. Thanks for your help !
