    how do I copy a templates settings

    • I am usimg Levithen or what ever it is called (Jan 2013)...lol, and I am ready to move my site from beta to production. How do I copy the template settings. I FTP'd the entire template and that didnt do it. Please help, gotta launch in 2 days.

    • Hi there,

      The simple option is to install Akeeba Backup and then use that to migrate your site to the production server. This will take all path changes etc. into account. It is the most reliable method of transferring a website.

      If this resolves your problem then please edit your first post in this thread by adding SOLVED at the start of the title and then select the green tick icon. This lets the moderators know that it can be moved to the solved section.

    • I onl;y want the tempalte settings, not the whole site.

    • Hi there,

      In that case the simplest method is to open the template_styles table in phpmyadmin and copy the template record to the same record in your new database.

      AS USUAL - BACKUP FIRST!!

      In Joomla 2.5 and 3.0 the template settings are saved in the database.
