Remove ´user´ positions in RT template

Posted 11 years 11 months ago
    • Hi,

I created a bunch of ´user´ positions, i.e. user1, user2, user3, user4, etc. for the purpose of putting modules side-by-side and other creative ideas I had. Now I do not need them anymore and I believe these positions are a backdoor for hackers. So the questions is: How to remove, delete these positions, as they show up in my module manager Joomla 2.5??? P.S. I did not mae the index.php and template.xml manual additions for my ´user´ positions...

      Thanks for your help.

      Ed.

    • Since we don't have 'user' module positions in our templates you will have to find them somewhere else 8)

What kind of backdoor for hackers are you talking about? I have never heard about something like that with defined module positions

    • I meant that I created a Joomla custom HTML and then assigned position ´user1´ to it. You can give any name to a position (assigned or not), it is just to reference by if you want to build <divs> side by side or something else. I know there is no assigned ´user´ position in RT templates. But now that I did ´create´ them, how can I remove them or should I remove them (can they do any harm?)?
